Yearly billing "saves about 17%": you pay for 10 months and get 12. It is chosen in Blotato's billing portal, and its pricing page prints no yearly prices. There is no free plan: each plan starts with a 7-day free trial (card required) that excludes the API and the MCP server, and generating an API key ends the trial and starts the paid Starter plan. Extra AI credits cost $6 per 1,000; prices for more than 100 accounts are not published.

Key differences

Where the two products differ

A free plan with API keys

Status 200 has a permanent Free plan with 1 profile, 30 posts per month on 7 platforms, and REST API keys with no monthly request cap. Blotato has no free plan: its 7-day trial (card required) includes everything except the API and the MCP server, and generating an API key ends the trial and starts the paid Starter plan at $29/mo.

Videos up to 5 GB

Status 200 accepts videos up to 5 GB (resumable in the dashboard, or imported from a URL through the API) and publishes up to 5 GB to YouTube, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Skool, and up to 4 GB to TikTok. Blotato's media requirements page says Starter supports files up to 400 MB and Creator and Agency up to 1 GB, and lists lower limits for some networks: 512 MB on X and Facebook, 500 MB on LinkedIn and 10 minutes on TikTok.

Skool, and a $9 start

Status 200 posts to Skool communities on every paid plan, from Beginner: $9/mo, or $7.50 a month billed yearly, for 3 profiles. Blotato publishes to 9 networks, Skool not among them, and its first plan, Starter, is $29/mo.

Where Blotato is ahead

Blotato is also an AI content studio: unlimited AI writing, AI images and videos paid with monthly credits (1,250 on Starter), and ElevenLabs voiceovers. It posts to Bluesky; publishes threads on X, Threads and Bluesky, LinkedIn document carousels, Facebook Stories and Pinterest video Pins; and answers Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs, with DM automations. Its MCP server has 36 tools, and Make lists it as a verified app.

Who should use which?

Choose Status 200 if...

  • You want a free plan, or REST API keys before you pay: Blotato's 7-day trial excludes its API and MCP server
  • You publish big videos: up to 5 GB to YouTube, where Blotato's uploads stop at 1 GB (400 MB on Starter)
  • You post to Skool communities (from $9/mo)
  • You run up to 5 TikTok accounts for $29/mo: Status 200 Apprentice has 5 profiles, while Blotato Starter posts to 3 distinct TikTok accounts per rolling 24 hours

Choose Blotato if...

  • You want one tool that writes your posts and makes AI images and videos (1,250 AI credits a month on Starter)
  • You reply to Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs, or want DM automations
  • You post to Bluesky, or publish threads on X, Threads or Bluesky

Switching from Blotato?

Follow these steps to move your publishing over

  1. Create a free Status 200 Uploads account at status200uploads.com/signup

  2. Connect the same social accounts you use on Blotato (Bluesky is not supported). Eight networks connect through their own official sign-in (OAuth), so we never see your password. Skool has no such sign-in: you paste your Skool session cookie, which we store encrypted.

  3. Upload the media you still need to the Status 200 media library (videos up to 5 GB, images up to 20 MB)

  4. Recreate your scheduled posts in the dashboard, or send them to the REST API with post.scheduledFor, one request per post

  5. If an AI app posted for you through Blotato's MCP server, add https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp as a custom connector in Claude or Claude Code instead. The AI connector is included in every paid plan, from Beginner.

  6. Verify your first posts publish, then cancel your Blotato subscription in its billing portal
