MCP server

Social media MCP server for AI apps

Status 200 Uploads runs a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp. An AI app that signs in to it gets 17 tools: it can list your accounts, find, upload or import media, check a post before sending it, publish or schedule it to the networks you connected, retry a failed post, and read your post history and the numbers each post earned. Nothing to install or host.

What you need

Plan
Included in every paid plan, from Beginner.
Server address
https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp (HTTPS). Its health check is https://mcp.status200uploads.com/health.
An app that can sign in
Another AI app can connect only if it supports MCP sign-in (OAuth) and, after you sign in, sends you back to a web address (https) or to your own computer. An app that offers only its own kind of address, such as app://, cannot sign in. If we do not recognise the app and it does not sign in on your own computer, it can only read until you tick "I trust this app and accept the risk". An app that cannot sign in can send the rl_* API key of an account on a paid plan instead, and gets a smaller set of 5 tools.
Tested apps
Tested with Claude and Claude Code. Claude on the web, in Claude Desktop and on iPhone, and Claude Code: each signed in and used the tools.
Cursor
Cursor's sign-in worked on 9 October 2026; its tools are not tested yet.
Other apps
ChatGPT and VS Code are recognised by their client ids, so they are offered publishing when they sign in; both are not tested yet.

How to connect

Add the server to your app · Sign in and choose what it may do · Ask for a post in plain words · Disconnect whenever you want

Every network you connected

Tested on 13 October 2026 with Claude (web, Desktop, iPhone).

How to connect

  1. Add the server to your app

    In your AI app, add an MCP server (in Claude, a custom connector) with the address https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp. No key is needed: the app signs in.

    Tested on with Claude (web, Desktop, iPhone).

  2. Sign in and choose what it may do

    The app opens our page. Sign in to Status 200 Uploads, then allow "See your account" alone, or also "Post and schedule for you", and choose how long the connection lasts: 30, 60 or 90 days, or until you disconnect.

  3. Ask for a post in plain words

    The app lists your accounts, reads what each network allows (for example TikTok's privacy levels), checks the post, then publishes or schedules it. TikTok needs a privacy level and YouTube a privacy status: the app has to ask you, it cannot choose for you.

    Tested on with Claude Code.

  4. Disconnect whenever you want

    Every app you connected is listed in the dashboard under API, where you can disconnect it at any time.

What it can do

What MCP server can do
WhatWhereDetails
AccountsEvery network you connectedYour profiles and networks, your plan and what is left of it, and what each network really allows (TikTok privacy choices, Pinterest boards, Skool groups). Tools: status200_list_accounts, status200_get_usage, status200_get_posting_options.
MediaEvery network you connectedFind a file already in your media library, upload one from the computer your app runs on, or import one from a URL, then check it until it is ready to post. Tools: status200_list_media, status200_create_upload_link, status200_finish_upload, status200_upload_media_from_url, status200_get_media_status.
PublishingEvery network you connectedCheck a post without sending it, publish to up to ten places in one call, and send a failed post again. Tools: status200_validate_post, status200_publish_post, status200_retry_post.
SchedulingEvery network you connectedPut a post on the calendar, change it, or cancel it before it goes out. Tools: status200_schedule_post, status200_update_scheduled_post, status200_cancel_scheduled_post.
HistoryEvery network you connectedWhat happened to a post, your post history, and the numbers each post earned. Tools: status200_get_post, status200_list_posts, status200_get_post_performance.
With an API key insteadEvery network you connectedA client that sends an API key instead of signing in gets these five, which also need a paid plan: publish through the older URL or /api/v2/posts, import media, and check the connection. Tools: status200_server_info, status200_create_post, status200_create_post_site_v2, status200_upload_media_from_url, status200_get_media_status.

A worked example: a Google Drive video to Instagram and TikTok

A request like the one Claude ran on : a video shared from Google Drive with "Anyone with the link", posted to Instagram and TikTok. The answer of every step is shown to the app, so it can tell you what happened.

You ask

Post the video at this Google Drive link to Instagram and TikTok with the caption "Behind the scenes".

What happens

The app imports the file from the link with status200_upload_media_from_url, then publishes it with status200_publish_post, one target per network. TikTok needs a privacy level: if your request does not say it, the app asks you instead of choosing. The answer says how each post went.

For an app that cannot sign in: the same server with an rl_* key from Dashboard, API (paid plans)
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "status200-uploads": {
      "url": "https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer rl_your_api_key"
      }
    }
  }
}

Limits and safe retries

  • One target per network in a call, and at most 10 targets in all: send a second post to the same network in a later call.

  • Send an idempotency_key with a publish to resend it safely: for 24 hours the same key gets the first answer back, never a second post. An identical call without a key within 2 minutes is refused as a duplicate.

  • Your plan's daily limits apply as they do in the dashboard. A post over the day's limit is queued for the next day instead of failing, and the answer says so and gives its scheduled_post_id.

  • A refused call answers with a code, a message, a next_step and a retry rule: "never" (the same call cannot succeed now), "after_reset" (it can after 00:00 UTC) or "not_a_failure" (the post was accepted and goes out on its own).

  • Posts are public straight away, and Status 200 Uploads cannot delete a post from a network once it is out. A scheduled post can be cancelled before it goes out.

Troubleshooting

The app cannot sign in.
The app must return to an https address or to your own computer after the sign-in. An app that only offers its own kind of address, such as app://, is refused.
The app can read but not post.
Either you allowed "See your account" only, or we do not recognise the app and you left "I trust this app and accept the risk" unticked. Disconnect it under API and connect it again.
The answer is plan_limit_reached.
The account is on Free, where the AI connector is not included. Upgrade to Beginner or higher, or post through the dashboard or the REST API, which are on every plan.
The connection stopped working.
The connection length you chose has ended, or the app was disconnected. Connect the app again.
