Claude Social Media Manager: Post With Our MCP
Turn Claude into a social media manager with our MCP: sign in once, ask in plain words, schedule posts, keep TikTok and YouTube privacy yours.

Short answer: Yes — Claude can act as a social media manager for the accounts you connect to Status 200 Uploads. Add our hosted MCP server at https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp as a custom connector, sign in once, and ask in plain words. Claude can list accounts, import media, check a post, publish, or schedule it. The AI connector is "Included in every paid plan, from Beginner." It does not choose TikTok privacy or YouTube privacy status for you.

What "Claude social media manager" means here
People who want Claude to run their social posts usually want an AI chat that can post and schedule without building a custom Graph API stack. With Status 200 Uploads, that stack is the MCP connector: "A hosted MCP server: an AI app signs in once and can then publish, schedule and check posts for you."
Our Claude page puts it in one sentence: "Add Status 200 Uploads to Claude as a custom connector with the address https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp, sign in once, and Claude can post and schedule to the networks you connected."
You still approve tool use in Claude unless you always-allow a tool. You still own the captions and the privacy choices that apps are not allowed to invent.
How to set Claude up as the manager
From our Claude and MCP pages:
- Add the server. In Claude's settings, add a custom connector with
https://mcp.status200uploads.com/mcp. "No key is needed: the app signs in." - Sign in. Our page opens and says "We recognise this app". Sign in to Status 200 Uploads, keep "Post and schedule for you" on if Claude may post, pick how long the connection lasts (30, 60 or 90 days, or until you disconnect), then Allow.
- Turn it on in a chat. Click +, open Connectors, switch Status 200 Uploads on. Ask something small first, like "List my Status 200 accounts", and allow the tool when Claude asks.
- Ask for posts in plain words. Claude "finds the file, asks what only you can choose (such as who may see a TikTok post), checks the post and sends it."
Disconnect anytime under Dashboard → API.
What tools Claude gets
The MCP server exposes typed tools. From the MCP page:
| Group | Examples |
|---|---|
| Accounts | status200_list_accounts, status200_get_usage, status200_get_posting_options |
| Media | status200_list_media, status200_upload_media_from_url, status200_get_media_status |
| Publishing | status200_validate_post, status200_publish_post, status200_retry_post |
| Scheduling | status200_schedule_post, status200_update_scheduled_post, status200_cancel_scheduled_post |
| History | status200_get_post, status200_list_posts, status200_get_post_performance |
OAuth sign-in gets the full set (our pages describe 17 MCP tools). An app that cannot sign in and sends an rl_ key instead "gets a smaller set of 5 tools" and still needs a paid plan.
A real request: schedule from a Drive link
Our MCP page records a request Claude ran on 7 October 2026: a Google Drive video with "Anyone with the link", posted to Instagram and TikTok.
You can ask for a schedule the same way:
Import the video at this Google Drive link, then schedule it for tomorrow 09:00 Europe/Ljubljana on Instagram as a Reel and on TikTok as public, caption "Behind the scenes — Tuesday cut".
What the connector is built to do next (same tools as the live example):
- Import with
status200_upload_media_from_url. - Ask for anything required that you left out (TikTok privacy).
- Schedule with
status200_schedule_post(or publish withstatus200_publish_postif you want it now). - Report how each target went.
Limits from the MCP page still apply: "One target per network in a call, and at most 10 targets in all: send a second post to the same network in a later call." Send an idempotency_key with a publish "to resend it safely: for 24 hours the same key gets the first answer back, never a second post."
For scripts and n8n, use the REST API instead — "n8n and your own scripts use the REST API, which is on every plan, Free included. The MCP server is for AI apps."
Same post from n8n (REST, not MCP)
When the manager hat is a workflow instead of a chat, use the REST API. Our MCP page is clear: "n8n and your own scripts use the REST API, which is on every plan, Free included."
Example: schedule a text post (from the shape on /docs/api), with a time zone:
curl -X POST 'https://status200uploads.com/api/v2/posts' -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -H 'Authorization: Bearer rl_your_api_key' -H 'Idempotency-Key: mgr-2026-11-07-linkedin' -d '{
"post": {
"accountId": "@yourprofile",
"platform": "linkedin",
"scheduledFor": "2026-11-07T09:00:00+01:00",
"content": { "text": "Ship notes from this week." }
}
}'
scheduledFor without a zone is refused with 400 scheduled_for_invalid. More than 60 seconds ahead schedules the post. That is the same calendar Claude hits through status200_schedule_post — different door, same checks.
What Claude must ask you
From the Claude page: "TikTok needs a privacy level and YouTube a privacy status: the app has to ask you, it cannot choose for you." If you omit them, expect Claude to stop and ask — for example "public on TikTok" — rather than guessing.
Also: "Status 200 Uploads cannot delete a post from a network once it is out, and no tool does." Claude can cancel a scheduled post before it goes out.
Plans and Free vs paid
- Status 200 Uploads: "The AI connector is included in every paid plan, from Beginner." On Free you get
plan_limit_reachedfor the connector; use the dashboard or REST API instead. - Claude: "Claude's Free plan allows one custom connector, which is enough for ours." So Claude Free can hold the connector, but our side still needs Beginner or higher for MCP publishing.
- Daily limits: "Your plan's daily limits apply to what Claude posts, as they do in the dashboard."
Claude Code and other apps
Claude Code uses the same MCP URL (tested 9 Oct 2026). Cursor's "sign-in worked on 9 October 2026; its tools are not tested yet." ChatGPT: "ChatGPT is not tested yet. It is recognised by its client id, so it is offered publishing when it signs in, but no tool call from it is on record."
For Instagram Reels step-by-step inside Claude, our earlier guide /blog/can-claude-post-to-instagram stays the deep dive; this article is the manager setup across networks.
FAQ
Can Claude be my social media manager? Yes, for networks connected to Status 200 Uploads: add the MCP connector, sign in with post permission, and ask in plain words to publish or schedule.
Do I need an API key in Claude?
No for Claude's custom connector — it signs in with OAuth. Apps that cannot sign in can send an rl_ key on a paid plan and get five tools.
Does it work on Free? Claude Free can add one connector. Status 200 Uploads Free does not include the AI connector; upgrade to Beginner or use the REST API / dashboard.
Can Claude delete a live post? No. It can cancel a scheduled post before publish time.
Is Instagram supported? Yes, through the same connector. See the Instagram-focused walkthrough for Reels examples.
