Instagram Reposts Tab: Find, Manage, Allow or Hide
Where Instagram puts your Reposts tab, how to bulk-delete, how to stop others reposting you, and why it beats re-uploading for originality.

Short answer: Instagram puts every reel or post you repost in "a dedicated repost tab on your profile." Open the Instagram app, tap your profile picture, then tap that tab. You can also manage or bulk-delete them under Your activity → Reposts. The Reposts tab is Instagram's own share path: it credits the creator, and Instagram's originality guidelines say to use it (or Stories) when you want to share someone else's work without re-uploading. If the tab is missing, Instagram's help starts with "This feature may not be available to everyone."

What the Instagram Reposts tab is
Instagram's Help Center page Repost a reel or a post says: "You can repost public reels or posts on Instagram. When you repost, your followers may see that you reposted in their feeds, and reposts will appear in a dedicated repost tab on your profile."
So the tab is a gallery of content you shared with Instagram's Repost button, not a second feed of your own posts. Instagram also says other users "can comment on your repost and these comments will appear as direct messages to you."
Two hard limits from the same page:
- "Keep in mind, you can only repost reels or posts if the original creator allows reposts of their content."
- "Only content posted by the original creator can be reposted. You cannot repost a repost."
How to find your Instagram Reposts tab
Instagram's steps:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Tap Profile picture in the bottom right.
- Tap the dedicated tab on your profile.
That is the whole path. Instagram's help only describes the profile tab and the Your activity path — not a separate Reposts page elsewhere. If you don't see the tab, see the "not showing" section below.
How to manage or bulk-delete your reposts
From the same help page:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Tap Profile picture in the bottom right.
- Tap Menu in the top right.
- Tap Your activity.
- Tap Reposts.
- Tap a reel or post to view it, or select several and tap Delete.
You can also "access and download your information, including reposts."
How to allow or stop reposts of your own content
If you don't want other people putting your posts on their Reposts tab:
- Profile picture → Menu.
- Tap Sharing and reuse below How others can interact with you.
- Toggle next to Reposts on posts and reels.
Turning it off means others can't use the Repost button on your public reels and posts.
How to remove one of your own reposts
On the reel or post you already reposted, tap Repost again. Instagram says: "You can remove a repost by tapping Repost on the reel or post you reposted."
Instagram Reposts tab not showing or missing
Instagram opens the help page with: "This feature may not be available to everyone." The help does not list every reason a tab can be missing (region, account age, rollout), so treat a missing tab as a feature rollout, not a broken install. Check that you're in the Instagram app (not only a browser), that you're signed into the right account, and that you've actually made at least one repost. If you've never tapped Repost, the tab may simply have nothing to show yet — Instagram's wording only promises that "reposts will appear" after you use it.
How to repost a reel or post (so it lands on the tab)
Instagram's help lists these steps. Do them in the Instagram app:
- Open the Instagram app.
- On any public reel or post you want to repost, tap Repost.
- To add text, tap the bubble by your profile picture on the bottom left of the reel or post.
- Include any text you'd like to share with your repost.
- Tap Save.
Then: "The reel or post will be reposted and available in the Reposts section of your profile. Your followers may be able to see your repost if they come across that piece of content."
That last line matters for reach expectations. A repost is not a new post that always hits every follower's feed. Instagram says followers may see it when they come across that content — and the lasting place it lives on your side is the Reposts tab.
Report a bad repost of your work
If someone reposted you and you want it reviewed:
- Long-press on the profile picture of the repost on the bottom left of the reel or post.
- Tap Report and follow the on-screen instructions.
That path is for reporting the repost, separate from turning off "Reposts on posts and reels" for future shares.
Why the Reposts tab matters for originality
Instagram's originality rules punish accounts that mostly re-upload other people's work. In its own guidelines (quoted in our originality guide), Instagram says: "If you want to curate reels and posts from other accounts to your audience without making material edits, we recommend reposting to your followers or sharing the content to your stories." The Reposts tab is that path: it lives separately from your Posts and Reels grids, so sharing someone else's work there doesn't look like you uploaded it as your own.
Use Repost (or Stories) when you're sharing. Use your own Posts and Reels grids for work you filmed or meaningfully edited. That split is the practical answer to whether the Reposts tab hurts reach: the tab itself is the safe share tool; re-uploading the same file as if it were yours is the risk.
Schedule your own Reels (API / n8n) — not the Repost button
Status 200 Uploads does not call Instagram's Repost button. We publish your Reels, feed photos and carousels to a Business or Creator account. Our Instagram page says: "A Business or Creator account: Instagram does not let apps publish to a personal account." And: "One video becomes a Reel, up to 300 MB and 15 minutes."
Here is a scheduled Reel through our REST API (from our Instagram page, with a time added):
curl -X POST 'https://status200uploads.com/api/v2/posts' \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-H 'Authorization: Bearer rl_your_api_key' \
-H 'Idempotency-Key: reel-0012-instagram' \
-d '{
"post": {
"accountId": "@yourprofile",
"platform": "instagram",
"scheduledFor": "2026-11-07T18:00:00+01:00",
"content": {
"text": "Behind the scenes — filmed this week #original",
"mediaID": ["YOUR_FILE_ID"]
},
"instagram": { "postType": "reel" }
}
}'
Our API docs require a time zone on scheduledFor: a time without one is refused with 400 scheduled_for_invalid. More than 60 seconds ahead schedules the post (up to 365 days). File limits for Reels are on /docs/file-limits: "Reels up to 15 minutes and 300 MB (Instagram's own API limit)."
In n8n, use an HTTP Request node with the same body, or our community Status 200 Uploads node with When: At a Set Time. That workflow publishes your Reel. For other people's content, stay in the Instagram app and use Repost so it lands on the Reposts tab with credit.
